What is being compared?

The model ranks changes in beginning stocks, production, crush, exports, ending stocks, and prior-year exports using the balance-sheet transition method from the existing Grain Analog Dashboard. Lower distance means closer inputs; it is not a probability or confidence score.

What do the paths mean?

All 20 comparison scenarios and their paths are synthetic. Paths are indexed to 100 at day zero. The line is the median of the selected comparison set; shading shows its 25th–75th percentile. Hiding an individual line does not change the comparison set or its median.

Research limitations

Scenario similarity does not establish causation or predict an outcome. A small comparison set, changing policy, weather, and market structure can limit relevance. Independent input sliders do not enforce a balanced physical supply-and-demand sheet. General, impersonal research only.

A foundation for deeper analysis.
